Beverly Grant, the founder of well‐ known Fort Lauderdale catering and crew placement firm Culinary Fusion, will serve as Director of Crew Solutions. The company was created by Beverly and she serves as CEO.
Beverly Grant began her career as a Yacht Chef in 1975. She delighted the palates of owners and guests onboard a wide variety of vessels – as well as in private homes – for more than two decades. In addition to founding Culinary Fusion, Grant also has owned three restaurants, and served as advisor and director of crew placement and catering or The Grateful Palate, a fixture of the Superyacht scene on Fort Lauderdale’s SE 17th f Street.
While running the crew placement operation for Culinary Fusion, Grant perfected her “hands‐on cooking interview”, which typically requires prospective yacht chefs to prepare and serve a three‐ course meal. During this audition time she observes the Chefs ability for cleanliness, organization, cooking abilities and attitude. She has also led crew training seminars and cooking classes around the world.
I had always specialized in internal yacht crew, but through Crew Solutions, we will be providing placement for the entire spectrum of crew positions, including captains, mates, engineers and deckhands, as well as chefs, stews, and pursers.
